WHITE RIVER OVERLAND

The van upfitting business has been full-fledged for several years now. And even OEMs have now jumped on board, providing high-end and turn-key options for the overland seeker. But the custom build scene still holds strong as people want one-of-a-kind and buit-to-suit builds for their adventures. One of these custom shops is White River Overaland, based in Aspen, Colorado.

They upgrade everything on their vans to spec, from the suspension and armor, to racks and safety gear. But the fun doesn't stop their, they have a full cabinet shop, and thus, they build out the interiors to meet their customers needs precisely. Over the course of a year, I shot three different van builds — all distinctly different, but all very much high-touch and premium craftsmanship.

For this particular long-term project, I captured content they could use for their website, but also use on vantrader.com, RVtrader.com and Facebook marketplace. Not only did they want authentic content, but they also needed a batch of images to use to showcase each van for sale.
