In 2017, REI launched one of their most powerful campaigns to date, #ForceOfNature. It focused on equality in the outdoors, providing visibility to women partaking in outdoor sport. This was a tremendous step by the co-op, as they showed the world that a “woman’s place is in the outdoors,” not just men.
During the summer of that year, Sarah Herron and I partnered with REI to help promote not just women getting into the outdoors, but also people with physical differences.
